HOW WE BEGAN

After witnessing the food insecurities existing amongst many Mombasa families Gregory Wright and Ruth Muiruri envisioned and created Wanjiku's Kitchen as a community food pantry.

 

After utilizing personal funds as seed capital and networking with fellow Kenyan community based organizations, Wanjiku's Kitchen was formed in May 2020.
